About Us

You spend a lot of time in front of a grill, make sure it’s one you’ll love.

We’ve invested close to two decades in this industry working with chefs, restaurants and events. Every menu, every space is unique and what we build for each project reflects that.

Our equipment is made specifically for you, to your requirements with our expert and personalised guidance. We use a range of precision-made & hi-tech materials, to help you cook in a way that lets your restaurant and vision shine through.

And as the season changes so can the function of your grill. Built in adaptability in our products, with unique accessories designed by us, means your grill can cleverly be rearranged to suit your menu.

Natalie

Natalie’s journey began in Fashion Design, where she honed her creative skills before spending time at Alexander McQueen’s couture house. From there, she followed her culinary passion in food publishing, working with editorial teams at Condé Nast, Delicious, Stylist, Waitrose Magazine, and others. She has also written cookbooks, bringing together her love of storytelling, food and design.

She’s known for her clear communication and thoughtful approach, making sure every detail has meaning and purpose. With her fresh perspective and creative vision, Natalie brings warmth, energy, and direction to British Metal Craft — and we couldn’t be happier to have her on the team.

Mark

Mark is a seasoned veteran of the live-fire cooking scene. His knowledge and ‘how to’ attention to detail has been employed behind the scenes at many iconic restaurants and events. Mark has travelled extensively, working first hand with fire cooking in all its iterations. From Tandoors in Southern India to near ‘religious dedication’ of wood-fired paella in Valencia, to the biodynamic vineyards of the Loire, he has diligently mapped these experiences and more, to share with chefs, restaurateurs and events across the UK & Europe.

Mark's nuanced approach and attention to detail, his daily joy of what modern European cooking has to offer, is what drives British Metal Craft to keep evolving and innovating.

We have an appetite for books as well as food at British Metal Craft. And in an ever changing digitised world, the printed word on the page still holds great power.

We’ve selected a few books by writers who have in some way contributed to our work and thoughts. They’re good to enjoy anywhere, when travelling or at the end of a busy day when we try and switch down from work and everything else.

A A Gill reminds us that in an imperfect world we can still thrive, his writing went beyond pithy restaurant reviews, into travel and much more. The eponymous restaurant Ekstedt in Stockholm owes him a great deal, when nearly a year into their opening he reviewed it and put it on the on the global map and a path to Michelin success, way before anyone else had explored the joys of cooking on fire in a restaurant in the way they did there. And Gill was severely dyslexic, so he recorded his copy down the phone to his close assistant, who then transcribed it into what we read today. In some ways this reminds us of engineering’s challenges, where reaching out to a team brings our thoughts to life.

Britain was once a craft land. For generations what we made with our hands shaped our identities, built our communities and defined our regions. Craftland chronicles the vanishing skills and traditions that used to govern every aspect of life on these shores.
