British Metal Craft are designers and makers of custom crafted live-fire grills & tools for restaurants, chefs and cooks.
What we do
We design and build every part to meet our customers requirements; from the grill itself, right down to the hinges and handles. Our fire tools and fish cages are made for service and durability.

Applebee’s
Our most recent project is a 1200 grill specifically designed and made for cooking fish at Applebee's Restaurant in Borough Market, London. Here they source seasonal British produce directly from the fishing boats off the Dorset coast. The 1200 grill features planchas, grills and our Basque-inspired fish cages, all of which help create a daily changing menu for the restaurant.

Our PROCESS
Each project we nurture like it’s our own. We consider every detail in the design and manufacturing-process to make it fit for purpose. From our collective years of experience, collaborating with chefs, creators, and restaurateurs, we bring knowledge and a raft of valuable experience to British Metal Craft.
A maker and client may seem poles apart when it comes to cooking; between engineers and chefs, one simple question answers so much: ‘Do you cook?’
And here at British Metal Craft, ‘Yes we do.’
An opening conversation can create plans that build into projects. A sketch on a post-it, an image that you’ve had in mind for some time is often the start of a British Metal Craft grill as the focal point of a chef’s counter, set within the theatre of your kitchen. It's a wonderful thing to engage with.
We’re here to listen and share your thoughts, to expand on them with your build team and architects. Our engineers have all the drawing and design skills to bring your project to life. We’re design literate, agile in manufacturing, time concise. And like you, we love what we do.
